It all began in 1981 when Harvey Shirk started bending wooden shafts for the horse draw carriages used by the local plain community for transportation. Having grown into the business, his son and current owner took on the managemet in 2012, and is now doing business as Shirk's Wooodbending, located in Lancaster county Pa., offering a diverse line of product and custom orders made from the finest American hardwoods.
